Using the old and new printing technologies of the Albion Press and the Risograph on this workshop participants will be able to colour in prints made with reproductions of the woodblocks used by Raban as well as some other late-19th century printing blocks. Using our wooden type selection they will then be able to print their name onto the print using the same technique used by Raban 400 years ago.  The workshop is being run twice (identically content) in the morning and the afternoon.

OUR FIRST PRINTING WORKSHOP: 2 JULY 2022

Participants joined our first Raban 400 Printing Workshop at Peacock on Saturday 2 July.  The kids joined Peacock's Neil, Enxhi, Nicola and Cat (and Raban 400's own Paul Mitchell) to learn about about the letterpress and RISO and produced some of their own work to take home with them. They left with a skip in their step.  Here is some of the output.
